Myspace

Ok. I have had a myspace for a little over 2 years now. I have a lot of friends there who I know in really real life not just cyber space. Not that cyber space is a bad thing but its the difference of saying to someone "hey lets have tea next Tuesday" or party at my house to celebrate my graduation and being a pen pal. The pen pal thing is cool it allows you to get to know many other people from different areas of the country and even the world. That is how I see the cyber friends thing it's a lot like having pen pals. So any how I have experienced many little glitches with myspace over the years but never one like this morning. This morning I go to log in and guess what I get...........this message that says "The application you are trying to use has been currently disabled as we are doing some work on it. Please do not email me about the problem just ride it out. Thanks Tom. May 26, 2008." Now see I am thinking what is that all about and how annoying. I wrote an email to 2 or 3 people and was checking to see if I had any responce. Yeah I know that you can get notices in your emails about this stuff but I don't. I accidentally marked something as spam once and now I don't get anything. Oh well. I guess that there really isn't anything I can do.

Last Week

Well it's a 3 day weekend! Yes. So here is a quickie of what I did last week. Work; Work; and well work. So at my place of employment after some realizations I have decided to take this whole Jamie thing very differently. That was on Wednesday and LOL she wasn't at work. Jamie and I have one thing in common we both have horrible allergies and our sinuses make us very very sick. There is a major difference between the two of us too. I have had allergy tests and I have made major lifestyle changes in my diet and while I still react to the pollens and allergens it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. I can function with minimal amounts of pain now. It's a very big difference. So any how Thursday came and while I was not my fully chipper bubbly self I certain made a point to speak to her just because that is normal for me. And I didn't die nor was I treated rudely. Thursdays are short days and then I went and had brake work done on the car. I got my hair cut. Now yes we jumped ahead a bit. So going backwards Monday I worked late, came home did dinner and dishes and homework with the kids as well as baths. I then went to bed. Tuesday I went to work, came home early and did laundry. Real excitement there let me tell you. Wednesday work went well. Friday I went to work and came home. I have my lovely teen daughter visiting with me this weekend. Work is going well and I look at backs and cracks all day! Seriously.

Obsticles

Ok. I have been working at my new job for a little while now. Most of you who know me, know that I am outgoing, strong, and confident. I have not gained my confidence in my new work place yet. I have discovered today that I am totally intimidated by Jamie; Red; the combination of Pam and Sally with a little extra rudeness stirred into her personality that she shows her co-workers. There was a point today when I really needed help making an adjustment to a table that I did not know how to work. Jamie was the only one who was around to ask and I refused. I waited to ask Mindy or Sandy when one of them became free. Then I realized that most of the office is like this (expect Dr. K he totally picks on her for it all. He calls her "smiley" and she never ever does that outside of a patients view.) I came across something that I don't like and something that I don't like within myself; avoiding asking for help and tiptoeing around her. This is behavior that is totally not like me and it must stop but I am not sure how. I am going to do some private journaling to see if there is a deeper psychological thing going on here. Til then laugh, dance, and laugh some more as it's good for the soul.

Recommended Daily Allowance

Good evening. Well I finished another chapter in my book. All I can say is this; when I learned that I was allergic to milk I was heart broken. This meant no milk; no ice cream; no cheese; and my all time favorite no yogurt. Well if my book Skinny Bitch hasn't convinced me that I have nothing to bitter over the last chapter I just read did. That stuff will never cross my lips again and I will read labels much more closely. Damn. The FDA and EPA have known about this for years and they even have a recommened daily allowance for the stuff there is rocket fuel in MILK! Now I am standing back going WTF?!!! I thought I was reading gibberish and goofiness. Then I turned on my pc and googled it. I love google. Yes there is infact rocket fuel in milk. Now I must confess that can't be good for anyone unless I just took a big dose of stupid recently. That is not supposed to be eaten! I am so mad about this that I am almost speechless (that's an accomplishment). I am going to try to catch some sleep now. Folks I emplore you if your not vegan and I can't convince you to give up meat please give up milk! Really there is soy ice cream out there and it's pretty tasty stuff. I am not crazy about the vegan cheese but I would rather live the rest of my life without eating cheese than consuming rocket fuel. Nighty night.

Mini Book Review

Hello. I think I may end up blogging here more often as thus far I like the spell check aspect. Being SELF diagnosed dyslexic, it helps in this blog I will not get into all of the why I think that I am dyslexic. That is for another blog later on. So here is the deal. I love to read. A while back I read this great book called French Women Don't Get Fat and it's not a diet but it's a lifestyle book. It's a book that says pretty much everything in moderation except water. This author feels that we American's don't drink enough water. Now this is where I personally say ........... yes and no. I drink about 2 quarts of water a day so don't tell me I am not drinking enough h2o cause that doesn't include the 2 to 3 cups of coffee and the maybe glass of tea or juice that I consume. So there author I beg to personally differ with you. The book was a wonderful read and one that I highly recommend. BTW according to this book bread is not evil and should not be avoided at all costs but should be consumed in portioned amounts with fruits, veggies, and meats. (Now that one is one I have to differ with again. I am a veggie only eater so sorry I will pass on the meats). I am a health nut. In French Women I learned about the art of balance and how to add more to the atmosphere of eating and dining, like we now play music during dinner at our house stuff like Yo Yo Ma or Enya or Kate Rusby or Natalie Cole. I have also added candle sticks to the table and I use them. It makes eating more sensual and more pleasurable.

This brings me to my newest book. Skinny bitch and for those who know me you all know that I consider the term bitch to be a compliment. So I same person who recommended French Women says that she doesn't like Skinny Bitch she feels that they are concentrating on making women unhealthy thin. I disagree with her. I have read the first 5 chapters now. Here is the deal thus far.............enjoyable if you can handle blunt and straight forward. It's about eating healthy and eating vegan. Sorry that is the truth. The authors one is a model and the other is a holistic nutritionist state facts about the ills of eating sugar, milk, caffeine, and meat. Like it or not the ladies have done some homework and they make no qualms about telling you about it. Like growth hormones in meat is linked to causing many girls go into puberty early. That is just one example. Thus far I am enjoying the book and I will give one more review when I am finished reading. I must say that other than the caffeine as the authors attack coffee which I can site medical evidence to counter what they say....................... I may just end up vegan after all. I am vegetrarian currently but I am learning things that I never knew and while it's eye opening it's also down right gross. I don't consume dairy but I still eat eggs once in a while. That may very well stop.

Ok enough of that for now. I have some house work calling my name. Bright blessings to all of you and I wonder if there are on line programs to becoming a holistic nutritionist. That is something that would interest me. Ok. It's really time to go do that housework as no one else is going to do it and it's been there too long as is.
